According to the Richmond Police Department, a Wayne Superior Court 2 jury returned a guilty verdict against Elick T. Allen for shooting and killing 46-year-old John Day, as well as the attempted murder of John Day’s mother, 72-year-old Brenda Day. Reverend Kevin Morris died on Tuesday afternoon in a head-on crash. The Wayne County Sheriff said his car crossed the center line on U.S. 40, just outside of Richmond, and hit the other vehicle. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) said its deputies responded to a shooting at around 11:20 p.m. near 12100 67th Street North, off 120th Avenue North. At the scene, deputies found two men dead from gunshot wounds. Following an initial investigation, PBSO said one man — identified as the aggressor — shot the victim before turning the gun on himself.
