    One of the most successful players in Vancouver Canucks history, Alexander Edler

    Alex Edler is making headlines as he officially signs a one-day contract to retire as a Vancouver Canuck. This move allows Edler to retire with the franchise he

    spent 15 seasons with, recording 99 goals, 310 assists, and 409 points ². Edler’s legacy is celebrated by the team and fans, with the Canucks releasing limited-edition merchandise ahead of his retirement ceremony.

    As Edler looks back on his time with the Canucks, he cherishes the relationships he built with teammates, including Daniel and Henrik Sedin, Chris Tanev, Alex

    Burrows, and Jannik Hansen. He also appreciates the support from the city, particularly during the Canucks’ 2010-11 Stanley Cup run.

    Tonight, the Canucks face the Philadelphia Flyers, and fans will have the chance to celebrate Edler’s career and legacy. The game promises to be an emotional tribute to Edler’s dedication and contributions to the franchise.

    The Vancouver Canucks are gearing up for their next game against the Philadelphia Flyers October 12 at 7:00 p.m. PT at Rogers Arena. Kevin Lankinen will start

    in goal for the Canucks, replacing Thatcher Demko who’s dealing with an injury. This will be Lankinen’s first start with the Canucks.

    The team is looking to bounce back from their 6-5 overtime loss to the Calgary Flames in their season opener ³. Coach Rick Tocchet emphasized that the team needs to return to its identity and play more disciplined hockey .
