AUSTIN—One of the all-time greats of the University of Texas football program is retiring. Colt McCoy, a former Longhorns quarterback and multiple All-American as well as a two-time Heisman Trophy
finalist, announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday morning, following 14 seasons of service. Following that announcement, NBC Sports revealed McCoy will be joining the industry titan as an analyst
for its coverage of Big Ten football. McCoy’s first job will be to analyze the Colorado vs. Nebraska game on September 7 at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, working with play-by-play announcer Paul Burmeister and sideline reporter Kathryn Tappen. McCoy, one of the

left the NCAA after the 2009 season, he held the record for the most wins in the conference with 45. Boise State’s Kellen Moore broke the record in 2011 with 50 career victories.
