The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame said on Thursday that Jermayne Lole and Tiaoalii Savea, two defensive linemen, have been placed on the preseason watch list for the 2024 Polynesian College
Football Player of the Year Award. Every year, the Award is given to the best Polynesian-American college football player who embodies exceptional skill and moral character. Defensive lineman Lole, a
graduate transfer from Louisville, attended Arizona State from 2018 to 2021. He has participated in 42 games in his career, with 33 starts. Before suffering a season-ending injury, the Long Beach, California
native played in 14 games for Louisville, 12 of which were in 2023 and 2 of which were in 2022. Lole recorded 19 tackles in 2023, including 1.5 sacks and 5.0 tackles for loss. He made two tackles.
