One of the nation’s top high school football recruits still is considering the University of Texas.

The Longhorns, LSU, Miami, and Tennessee are on Jaime Ffrench’s list of four finalists, which was released on Friday afternoon. Ffrench is a five-star wide receiver from Jacksonville Mandarin High School in Florida. the John Mackey Award Selection Committee casts its vote to choose the laureate. Niblack, a first-year tight end who moved from Alabama to Texas in the spring of 2024, started five of his 24 career games while playing for the Crimson Tide and hauled in 21

receptions for 342 yards and five touchdowns. He contributed to the team’s appearance in the College Football Playoff semifinals in 2023 and their Allstate Sugar Bowl Championship in 2022 during that time. Last season, he had 20 receptions for 327 yards as a sophomore.
