Police identify Greenfield man killed in shooting with officers responding to domestic disturbance

The incident happened Monday night at a home on Sedgewick Lane, near South State and Tague streets.
HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana State Police troopers are investigating a deadly shooting involving police officers in Greenfield Monday night.
Greenfield police officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a home on Sedgewick Lane, near South State and Tague streets, July 7.
According to Indiana State Police, 54-year-old Ted Feasel answered the door but then quickly closed it when officers tried to talk to him.
After trying to talk with Feasel through the door, officers opened it and said Feasel was pointing a gun right at them.
Three officers fired their guns in response. Indiana State Police said the officers then gave Feasel aid while checking the home to see if anyone else was injured.
Feasel was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No officers or bystanders were hurt in the shooting.
Investigators are reviewing the officers’ body cameras.
The officers involved were 10-year veteran Blake Crull, six-year veteran Jarrod Davis, and five-year veteran Ryan Morefield. All three are on administrative leave, which is department protocol after a shooting.
