Death investigation underway after 19-year-old found dead
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Authorities are investigating the death of a young woman in Wayne County, Indiana.
According to the Richmond Police Department, dispatchers received a call July 24 around 11:02 a.m. to head to the 1300 block of S. Tenth Street in Richmond. First responders were sent to the scene in reference to an “unconscious and unresponsive” individual.
When Richmond paramedics arrived, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police has identified her as Caleigh Lindsay, 19.
“Our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of this young woman,” said Kyle Weatherly, chief of Richmond Police Department. “We know the community has many questions, and we are committed to a thorough and transparent investigation.”
Several agencies are involved in the ongoing investigation into Lindsay’s death.
