Twisted Plot: Waterboro Man Accused of Poisoning Wife’s Coke to Marry Daughter
In a disturbing case that has rocked the town of Waterboro, authorities have arrested a man accused of poisoning his wife in an alleged attempt to pursue a romantic relationship with his own daughter.
According to local police reports, 47-year-old James Whitmore was taken into custody after his wife, Linda Whitmore, was rushed to the hospital with symptoms of poisoning. Investigators later discovered that her drink—a can of Coca-Cola—had been laced with a toxic substance. A forensic analysis confirmed traces of a fast-acting poison.
Shockingly, further investigation revealed James’s motive: he allegedly intended to eliminate his wife so he could begin a relationship with his 21-year-old biological daughter, whose name is being withheld due to the sensitive nature of the case.
“This is one of the most disturbing cases we’ve encountered,” said Detective Rachel Monroe of the Waterboro Police Department. “The betrayal of trust and the moral violations are beyond comprehension.”
Linda is currently recovering under medical supervision and is expected to survive. James faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, incest, and conspiracy.
The case is still under investigation, and authorities have promised a full prosecution. The community remains stunned by the horrific turn of events.
