Sha’Carri Richardson Drops Major News Hours After Sad Confession for Women in Track and Field: “Coming Soon”

Sha’Carri Richardson is turning dreams into reality—again! After battling childhood traumas, she emerged as one of the biggest names in track and field. But Sha’Carri isn’t just about speed—she’s also a fashion icon. Who could forget her fiery orange wig? The braided masterpiece? Short bobs, sleek blonde vibes, or those unforgettable blue locks? Now, she’s taking her hair game to the next level by helping fans get glammed up like her. How? She’s launching her very own business!

The Olympic silver and gold medalist dropped the news on her Instagram on 11th December, teasing her new venture with a story that read, “©flow-gohair New business Launch coming soon.” A follow-up story linked straight to her new brand’s page: Flow&Go Hair Extensions. The bio says it all: “Going with the flow of your beauty.”

The first post gave fans a sneak peek of what’s in store—a carousel of four stunning wigs modeled by Sha’Carri and others. First up was a rich, curly brown look, followed by a soft, wavy black wig, a sleek straight blonde option, and Sha’Carri herself slaying a straight black wig. The caption sealed the deal: “We have whatever you need to make your beauty flow ✨ Body wave. Straight. 613. Straight. Go with the flow of your beauty ✨.”

In the comments, a fan asked if they’d be selling individual bundles, and the brand replied, “Yes ma’am! Frontals, closures, and bundles.” Talk about covering all bases! Of course, this isn’t Sha’Carri’s first time making waves outside the track. She recently teamed up with Latto for a Nike commercial that had us all sprinting to replay it. Clearly, whether she’s blazing down the track or slaying in the beauty world, Sha’Carri is here to dominate—and look fabulous doing it.

Sha’Carri Richardson is unstoppable—on the track, in the beauty world, and now in the fashion game too! Case in point: her latest collaboration with Nike NOCTA dropped right before the launch of her own Flow&Go Hair Extensions, proving she’s flexing both her entrepreneurial chops and her undeniable flair for fashion.

In an Instagram video, Richardson stars in a Nike NOCTA ad as the boss of Mama’s Beauty Salon, while rapper Latto joins in as a potential co-owner of Big Mama’s Mini Market. Together, the pastel-soaked spots promote NOCTA’s latest line: pastel-colored Air Force 1 sneakers, fleece hoodies, pants, and crewnecks. And the tagline? “The fastest nail tech in town.”

NOCTA, Drake’s sub-label launched in 2020, is all about celebrating hustle and creativity, and Sha’Carri fits the vibe perfectly. In the ad, she not only models the collection but shines in a clever skit where a rushed customer panics about a waitlist. Cool as ever, Sha’Carri handles seven customers in record time before quipping, “I told you I’m fast.” Talk about blending speed and style!

But this is more than just a marketing win—it’s a full-circle moment for Sha’Carri. She’s faced constant criticism for her bold nails, vibrant wigs, and unapologetic swagger, yet she’s transformed that noise into her calling card. And she’s not stopping there. She is making the most of her platform and even taking a stand for women athletes, proving that her speed isn’t the only thing redefining the game.

Sha’Carri Richardson opened up about the barriers that women still have to face in track and field. While the issue of underpayment has prompted women-exclusive leagues like Athlos NYC to come up, the issue runs quite deep. Women’s track and field lacks media coverage, making it difficult for the athletes to earn money or land lucrative brand deals. Another dark aspect of women’s sports is harsh online trolling. Whether it is about the trolls commenting about the fashion choices or shaming the athletes about their body type, things are often not rosy.

Opening up on the same, Richardson recently got candid in an exclusive interview with Essence. Reflecting on the burning issue, she stated, “I feel like that does a disservice to some of our women athletes—who may not be the biggest names or have the biggest contracts, but they still are people. They still dedicate their lives. They still get out there and show up.” Thus, despite a lot of women tasting success and transforming the well-known taboos, it would still require a lot of brave and talented women to come forward and break the stereotypes. And quite frankly, Sha’Carri Richardson ranks very high on that list.
