Two killed while working on wind turbine, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said in a Saturday press release that they responded to a report of two work-related fatalities.
The release said south of Winside, Nebraska, a wind turbine maintenance crew experienced an equipment failure, which resulted in two men falling from a turbine.
Officials said, Eddy Noreiga, 46, and Raidel Justiz Noreiga, 37, both from Las Vega,s Nevada, were pronounced dead on the scene.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Winside Volunteer Fire Department.
The accident remains under investigation.
