Don’t be. Every 50 metres or so you will come across a discarded piece of used tissue paper or worse still, wet wipes made from plastic that will still be lying there for the next 1000 years of Pilgrims to see.
I’ve only been walking five days but if this is what it’s like at the end of the season I’d hate to see what it’s like at the height!
Come on people. As well as meaning to have an affinity for the pilgrimage and for nature let’s have some respect for the people whose country we are visiting!
