TWO UNCONSCIOUS IN VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON I-70 NEAR RICHMOND LEADS TO NARCOTICS ARREST IN WAYNE COUNTY.
Indiana State Police responded to Interstate 70 near Richmond after a report of a blue sedan that had struck a guardrail.
According to FOX59, officers arrived around 1:30 a.m. and found two individuals unconscious inside the stopped vehicle.
Police arrested Justin Dawson and passenger Roxanne N. Steele, 43, of Connersville, for possession of narcotics.
During the traffic stop, officers said they found suspected fentanyl inside the vehicle.
Steele faces charges for possession of a narcotic drug and a controlled substance.
As per WISH-TV, the suspected fentanyl will be sent to the Indiana State Police Laboratory for testing. Both Dawson and Steele were taken to the Wayne County Jail without incident.
