2 missing people from Haines Junction found dead in vehicle in Schwatka Lake.
The coroner’s service is investigating the crash with help of the RCMP traffic services forensic reconstructionist and the Whitehorse RCMP detachment.
Autopsies will be done in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
The Yukon Coroner Service’s release notes that the family is asking for privacy at this time.
“We also extend our sincerest condolences to the families of Alexander and Shyann, as well as to the community of Haines Junction, who have been impacted by these tragic events,” reads the coroner’s release.
