Lost Animals in Maggie Valley Near Soco Mountain: Help Identify These Three Causing Damage to My Yard and Chicken Coop
Residents in the Maggie Valley area near the bottom of Soco Mountain—please be on the lookout. For the past week, three unknown animals have been repeatedly showing up in my yard, causing significant damage to both my chicken coop and surrounding property.
These animals appear to be domesticated, which leads me to believe they may belong to someone nearby. They’ve been tearing up the yard, frightening my chickens, and creating a general mess that’s difficult to keep up with. I’ve made multiple attempts to locate their owner and have reached out to my neighbor up the road, who I suspect might be their caretaker, but I have yet to receive a response.

If you live in the area and recognize these animals, or if you know someone who might be missing a few pets or livestock, please contact me as soon as possible. It’s important that they are returned to their rightful home before more damage is done or they end up getting hurt or lost farther from where they came.
I don’t want to involve animal control or take any extreme steps, so I’m hoping the community can come together to help resolve this situation peacefully. Time is of the essence, and these animals clearly need to be brought back to a secure environment.
