Amarillo Tragedy: Police Hunt Gunman After 23-Year-Old Killed in Shooting
Amarillo, TX – A tragic shooting in Amarillo has left a 23-year-old man dead and the community reeling, as police launch an urgent manhunt for the suspect responsible.
The incident occurred late Tuesday night in the 1300 block of North Adams Street, where officers responded to reports of gunfire just after 10 p.m. Upon arrival, Amarillo Police discovered the young victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts from emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name, pending family notification, but described him as a local resident. Witnesses reported hearing several shots and seeing a vehicle speed away from the area moments after the gunfire.
