Breaking down the format for the 2025 Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway.
A split field format will once again be used during preliminary nights for the 2025 Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway. The new format was introduced for last year’s running of the prestigious Dirt Late Model event and earned positive reviews from drivers and fans alike.
Dirt Late Model Dream preliminary nights will see the driver roster split into two separate fields, with one field racing on Thursday, June 5 and the other field racing on Friday, June 6. 2025 Dirt Late Model .
The winner’s share each night has now grown to $30,000. Two additional starters have been added to the field on Thursday and Friday, bringing the total number of feature drivers up to 26 each night. Preliminary features on both Thursday and Friday will be 50 laps in length.
Prior to last year’s version of the event, the driver roster was split into two separate fields during each night of preliminary racing, with both fields contesting 20-lap features each night.
Drivers will be able to request to race on a particular night; however, Eldora Speedway officials are not guaranteeing that all requests will be fulfilled. The track is committed to ensuring competitively balanced fields during both preliminary nights for the good of both competitors and fans.
During each night of racing, drivers will earn points using the “Every Lap Matters™” point system that has traditionally been used at Eldora Speedway’s crown jewel Dirt Late Model events.
