Double Homicide Horror: Indiana Man Shot, Stabbed & Strangled—Suspected Drug Dealer Arrested
Indiana —A gruesome double homicide has rocked a quiet Indiana community after the bodies of two men were discovered in a river, bearing signs of extreme violence. Authorities say both victims had been shot, stabbed, and strangled before being dumped into the water.
Police were called to the scene near the White River on Saturday after a local fisherman reported seeing what appeared to be a body floating near the bank. Upon arrival, investigators found two male victims, both in their 30s, with what they described as “clear signs of a violent struggle.”
Autopsy results confirmed the victims had sustained gunshot wounds, multiple stab wounds, and evidence of manual strangulation. The manner of death has been ruled a homicide in both cases.
After a swift investigation, police arrested 37-year-old Marcus “Slim” Reynolds, a man they describe as a “known drug dealer with a history of violent crime.” According to authorities, Reynolds had prior arrests related to narcotics and illegal firearms possession. Police say witnesses and surveillance footage placed Reynolds at the scene around the time of the murders.
“These killings were brutal and senseless,” said Indiana State Police spokesperson Lt. Karen Holbrook. “We believe this may have been drug-related, but we are continuing to investigate all possible motives.”
Reynolds is currently being held without bail at the county detention center and faces two counts of first-degree murder, along with additional charges related to illegal possession of a weapon and tampering with evidence.
The names of the victims have not yet been released pending notification of family. Investigators are urging anyone with additional information to contact the Indiana State Police tip line.
The community remains on edge as more details emerge about this chilling crime.
