Little River Woman shot while driving in Horry County, report shows
There were scary moments for one woman while driving in northern Horry County on Monday.
A police report shows a woman was driving when she was shot in the leg.
Horry County police officers received a call Monday afternoon about someone who was shot up near the Little River area.
They met with the victim, who told them she had just turned onto Highway 57 from Little River Road when she heard three gunshots and “then felt a burning in her left leg and realized she had been shot.”
She was later taken to the hospital.
According to the report, officers looked over the victim’s car and determined one bullet went through the driver’s side door, hit the victim in the left knee, and then went out the passenger door.
No arrests have been made in the case.
