Douglas Luiz and Alisha Lehmann have reportedly ended their relationship, just months after relocating to Italy together.
The ex-Aston Villa ace and Lehmann both signed with Juventus’ men’s and women’s teams respectively last summer. The pair were both at Villa when they first met and began dating in 2021. They split a year later but rekindled their romance in 2024, shortly before their significant move to Italy.
Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport now reports that the couple have once again parted ways, allegedly doing so ‘some time ago’.
The news comes as Luiz is rumoured to be seeking a transfer away from the Serie A titans. Conversely, Lehmann is believed to be content to stay in Turin, where she contributed to Juventus clinching the league title.
Luiz has only made 16 league appearances for Juventus this season due to injury struggles. The former Manchester City player has already been linked with a Premier League comeback ahead of the forthcoming summer transfer window, reports the Mirror.
In January, there were even rumours of a surprise return to The Etihad, although no move came to fruition. Nottingham Forest are now reportedly among the leading contenders for the Brazilian midfielder’s signature, as initially reported by Tuttosport earlier this week.
Luiz, hailed as a major signing for Juventus after his standout season with Aston Villa, clapped back at a fan on social media who questioned if he joined the club to ‘play or take pictures’.
He hit back: “I didn’t come here just to post photos. No one else did that, and I want things to be different. I came here with a purpose. I listened to my heart when I arrived and decided to sign.m
“Now I want you to answer me: why hasn’t a signing like mine played two consecutive games with this shirt? You can say what you want to the press later: ‘Oh, Douglas is not fit.’ Am I not fit? I did all the pre-season and played every game.
“I had just had one of the best seasons of my career, one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.”
