MISSING PERSON ALERT: RPD Seeks Public’s Help in Locating 31-Year-Old Man
The Richmond Police Department (RPD) is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a missing 31-year-old man who was last seen on Saturday evening. Authorities say the man, identified as James Carter, was reported missing by family members after he failed to return home and has not been in contact since.
James was last seen near the intersection of Maple Avenue and 5th Street around 7:45 p.m. on April 19. He was reportedly wearing a gray hoodie, dark jeans, and black sneakers. He is described as approximately 6 feet tall, weighing around 180 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a lion on his left forearm and was last seen carrying a black backpack.
According to police, there is no indication of foul play at this time, but his sudden disappearance is out of character. Family members told investigators that James has no known medical conditions and typically checks in regularly.
RPD has been canvassing the area where James was last seen and is reviewing surveillance footage from local businesses. Officers are also asking anyone in the neighborhood to check doorbell or security camera footage for any possible sightings.
“We are urging anyone with information, no matter how small it may seem, to come forward,” said RPD spokesperson Sgt. Monica Reyes. “James is a beloved member of our community, and his family is desperate for answers.”
Anyone with information regarding James Carter’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Riverton Police Department at (555) 321-4567 or submit a tip anonymously through the RPD website.
Please share this alert to help bring James home safely. Every bit of information counts.
