Richmond Police Department Extends Condolences Following Fatal 1-70 Incident. Highlights Collaborative Investigation Efforts.
Emergency services were dispatched to two vehicles accident near the 149-mile marker on eastbound I-70. Tragically, one individual was found dead at the scene. Proper identification and cause of death is still being investigated by the Wayne County Indiana Coroner’s Office.

At the request of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, our drone team—comprised of officers and detectives from the Police and Community Together (PACT) Team, alongside members of the Richmond Fire Department—was deployed to assist with the investigation.
