Agreeing, Susanna Reid highlighted Eddie had been battling prostate cancer for the past 12 months. The ITV host commented: “We’ve talked a lot about how important it is for men to get checked.
“The incredible campaigns, including by my friend Bill Turnbull as well. Another death from prostate cancer.” Sharing his condolences, Kwasi Kwarteng commented he used to follow Eddie’s career 30 years ago.
He added: “I think he was a great innovator, a bit of a maverick but a really inspiring person in the sport. I think that it’s a great loss.”
