Fatal Crash Shots down Highway 50 in Marshall county
A fatal accident on Highway 50 in Marshall County has resulted in the closure of the highway. The incident occurred on February 22, 2025, near the intersection of Highway 50 and Cedar Road. According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, a 2013 GMC Pickup, driven by 46-year-old Randy Ousley of Bourbon, was involved in a collision with a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. Ousley was partially ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Jeep, 33-year-old Mackendy Fontaine of Columbus, Ohio, lost control of his vehicle, which struck Ousley’s pickup on the driver’s side.
Fontaine and two passengers in his vehicle, 31-year-old Viergela Dolcine and a 4-year-old juvenile, sustained injuries and were transported to Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Additionally, a 15-year-old and a 4-year-old in Ousley’s truck were injured and taken to the hospital.
The collision is under investigation, and authorities have indicated that weather conditions, including falling and blowing snow, may have contributed to the accident.
