The Norman Police Department announced Master Police Officer Jenny Bryan died Monday after a long battle against cancer.
“The loss of Jenny is profound,” said Norman Police Chief Kevin Foster. “She faced her battles with cancer with extraordinary courage, just as she approached every day in service to our community. Her dedication and spirit leave a lasting impact on our department.”
Bryan had served eight years as a Norman police officer. She was a member of the department’s Patrol and Training Divisions, serving as a fitness and firearms instructor, along with membership on numerous special teams.
To honor her service and commitment to community, Bryan’s police vehicle is currently parked in front of the Norman Police Department at 112 W. Daws. The public is welcome to visit the temporary memorial and leave items honoring her life and public service legacy.
Information regarding memorial services will be shared by the city as it becomes available.
