Maggie Valley facilities damage from Helene reaches almost $4 million
Maggie Valley took a major hit from Tropical Storm Helene last September and town leaders took the first major step in the rebuilding process last week by awarding a sewer contract.
Damage to sewer lines, bridges and to creek banks in town is estimated to be around $3.8 million, town leaders were told last week in the latest storm projects update.
