During their club’s preseason game against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, October 6, LeBron James and Bronny James became the first father-son team
to play together in NBA history. On Sunday, in the second quarter of the game, Bronny made his first preseason debut as a rookie. On Monday, September
30, during NBA Media Day, LeBron, a five-time NBA champion, and his son made their official debut as Lakers teammates. They posed for pictures, spoke
with media representatives, and did an interview with Spectrum SportsNet. LeBron responded, “Just pure joy, man,” when asked how he felt about his kid
joining the interview. “I have nothing to say. I am able to talk about myself. I get queries about myself from you guys. When it
comes to him, I simply cannot think of anything to say.”When asked how he felt about his feelings after his kid entered the interview, LeBron replied, “Just
pure joy, man.” “I have nothing to say. I am able to talk about myself. I get queries about myself from you guys. I really can’t think of anything to say about
him.”Simply enormously proud. Very proud of him for reaching this milestone. He is a male. He’s prepared to leave. Feel free to ask him anything you have on
your mind.” The older James had previously stated that, even if his son still hasn’t worked out how to address him, he doesn’t want Bronny to call him “Dad” when they’re on the court. Bronny remarked, “I haven’t gotten there yet.”
It’s most likely going to be Bron, as Bron is the easiest.” Whenever LeBron and Bronny share the court, they will make NBA history as the first father-
son team to play together. Despite averaging just 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in his one and only collegiate season at USC—which was postponed
due to his heart crisis in January—Bronny just put on a tremendous pre-draft performance. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, the 19-year-old is
classified as a five-star prospect and is the No. 5 combo guard, No. 4 player from California, and No. 22 overall prospect for the 2023 national recruiting cycle.
