When the Vancouver Canucks open training camp on Thursday, Dakota Joshua will not be on the ice due to his testicular cancer diagnosis. In 63 regular-season
games in 2023–24, the 28-year-old forward recorded an NHL career-high 32 points (18 goals, 14 assists), and in 13 Stanley Cup Playoff games, he finished with
eight points (four goals, four assists). On June 27, he inked a $13 million, four-year contract with an average yearly worth of $3.25 million. The Canucks
posted a statement on Tuesday, quoting Joshua, “This summer, I felt a lump on one of my testicles that doctors would later diagnose as testicular
cancer.” It was certainly unsettling to receive this news, but fortunately the tumor was properly removed by the specialists. The past few weeks have
