Sportswire In response to the controversy that her appearance on a podcast this week created, Charissa Thompson is speaking out. Thompson stated that
she needed to “address the elephant in the room” in an Instagram story.has “an obligation to explain what is being reported, both to myself and to my
employers.” After Thompson’s remarks on the Pardon My Take podcast became viral, other sports journalists took offense. I won’t be fired for saying
this because I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. On the podcast, Thompson admitted, “There were times when the coach wouldn’t come out at halftime, or it
was too late and then I would make up the report.” I decided to just make this up because I didn’t want to ruin the report.
