Jack Lambert’s 2024 Penn State football player profile
Nittany Lions Wire will analyze every scholarship player on the Penn State roster heading into the 2024 football year. Each player’s background, high school ratings from recruiting websites, and projected role for James Franklin this season will all be included in
their preseason profiles. In 2023, Jack Lambert, a redshirt freshman quarterback, was a priority walk-on. In 2024, he looks to improve on a season spent on Penn State’s development squad when he rejoins
the club. Last season, the coaching staff named him the Offensive Player of the Week for the development squad twice. Even the top college football teams rely heavily on walk-on players, despite the fact that Lambert is quite unlikely to play this season.
Class of 2023: As a preferred walk-on, he joined the Nittany Lions. When Jack Lambert graduated from Topsail High School, he was unrated. After going to a couple camps at other universities, he decided to walk on to Penn State.
The bottom of Penn State’s QB depth chart may be a little hazy, but their top two quarterbacks are certain starters. Beau Pribula and Drew Allar combined will be one of the top quarterback rooms in the Big Ten.
With Jaxon Smolik sidelined by injury, competition may be building for third on the depth chart between gifted rookie quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer and
others. Jack Lambert should receive more reps until Smolik returns, but he won’t be fighting for the third slot.
